Greek Gods
There is always a dispute weather the gods are real or not. They are not real! There are no heavens above Mt. Olympus, where the mythical Greek gods reside, events of life don’t happen because of the will or whim of the Greek gods. The Greek people no longer believe in the gods anymore so they are surely a witness to this debate.

Mt. Olympus is the key setting of almost every myth. This was said to be where the gods dwell. To the ancient Greeks, Mt. Olympus was a place where you could stand and see the heavens where the gods lived. Today, if you stood on top of Mt. Olympus all you would see are a couple of clouds and the big blue sky.

Now that we are more realistic, educated and new technologies explain scientific questions we no longer need a mythical god to explain why you feel love, or why the sun is shining, or why dogs bark! Things are now explained by science. The reason the Greeks said things happened because of the gods is that they didn’t have microscopes or real scientists.

Today, Greeks no longer believe in the gods. The Gods in Mt. Olympus are no longer worshiped. Today the Greek people are mostly Greek Orthodox Christians who worship God and Jesus. The St. Christopher to the other faiths is our Alexander The Great. Greeks don’t worship Zeus or Hera or any god!

Mt. Olympus doesn’t have heavens above it, Aphrodite doesn’t make people fall in love with each other, the Greeks may still not pay their taxes, and they surely don’t believe in the Greek Gods!

Why Greece is the most beautiful place in the World

The birds chirping every morning, you would think of peace. Greece is the most beautiful place in the world. With their high mountains, and their amazing ruins from the Athens Corinth, Spartans, and Megara. Greece also has a stunning four sea's surrounding some of it.
Greece has striking mountains in Greece. The mountains of Greece are a continuation of the mountain range of the Balkans, with in turn are a continuation of the Alpine range. The two greatest ranges in Greece are the Pindos and the Rodopi. The mountains of Pindos were where many of the battles of during World War Two. The mountains are exquisite with the superb colors and structure.
There ruins in Greece are also another wonderful part of Greece that is one reason it is the most beautiful place in the world. The ruins in Greece from the main city-states show you what the past was like. The ancient ruins has specials aspects to how they built their homes, and how they lived. The ruins show gorgeous things that are from the past that are still here now.
There is another aspect of Greece that is magnificent. The four sea's are another reason why Greece is the most beautiful place in the world. There sea's are a pleasing feature that most people love. Greece's sea's are a wonderful feature to Greece.
With Greece's lovely looks, it also has an amazing past. Greece the most beautiful place in the world is an amazing country with great elements. That is why Greece is the most beautiful place in the world.

Sparta’s chances

Spartans were not strategic leaders. The Spartans forced their men into the army at a young age. They were bad influences to society and cruel by killing kids at such a young age. Spartans also had poor education. Sparta could have been stronger but they overused their men during the war.
How would you like joining the army at age 7 and ending at age 60? Maybe you would spend your entire lifetime working for the army and never be able to be with your family. You may never even get to meet them. This is how Sparta ruled their people. Men in Sparta had no freedom when they were seven they were forced into the army and their food was so bad that Spartans were willing to die because of their bad life. If it was not this way, Spartan’s would have been stronger with more kids to join the army.
Once Spartan boys were born they were expected to become strong and being willing to do anything for their country. If there was anything wrong with the baby such as autism or deformity they would have been left outside of town to die. Once the normal kids had reached age seven they were forced into military classes and camps. The camp leaders wouldn’t feed the children for a week and then the kids had to go steal food and if he got caught he’d be whipped. Often kids didn’t live long in the army. Once a solider reached age 60 he would be let free. Which was very rare considering the fact they were in the in army for 53 years.
While Athenian kids were learning to read, write, and count, Spartans were learning to lie, cheat, and steal. Spartans did get an education on how to cheat steal and lie. That’s why they lost the Persian war. Athens clever leaders and smart weapons helped Sparta win. If Spartans would have learned to read count and write they could have been the strongest army in the world. I believe they were strong but they needed to be smart.
Sparta could have been stronger if they would have been nicer to their kids, got an education, and treated the army men with more respect. They could have been stronger but they weren’t kind.

The Ancient Corinthians were very interesting during the time they had. They were strong minded people with big hearts. They tried to make a difference in life. They believed in love, that everyone should fine love in there life. I will tell you a little about the Ancient Corinthians! Ancient Corinth was a town right were southern Greece and northern Greece came together. Mycenaean pottery has been found in excavations of Corinth. So, that means that Corinth was defiantly a Mycenaean city. In the Greek Mythology Corinth was the town where Jason and Medea lived. There was such things as the dark ages. Well, in the dark ages Corinth declined like other Greek towns. Hahah(no surprise). Corinth was like the Athens in some ways. For instance it was like the Athens by the type of government. The government the ran Corinth was an oligarchy that meant there was a few leaders, not just one. Around 800 B.C the Corinthians began a lot of trading. They traded with lots of traders from West Asia Greece, and Italy. The Corinthians began making items themselves. They traded perfume and fancy little pots, and the pots were for where the perfume went in. For a while the pots were a big deal, and the Corinthians got rich from the pots. That was some things that Corinthians have done.

In ancient greece they citizens believed in the gods. Zeus was the king of all gods. Thats why they held the olympics- they would go to bring home the gold for Zeus! There were more gods, such as the god of wisdom, celebration, the god of the sea, the god of agriculture and the underworld!!!! Athens is actually named after one of the gods Athena- She is the god of wisdom and a bit of ware fare. Athena was one of Zeus's favorite daughters and could not say know to her wanting it!!
